A boutique hotel situated in the North of Ireland, the Waterfoot Hotel has established itself as a popular choice for weddings in recent years.
With countless hotels in the surrounding area, competition for wedding bookings is high. The Waterfoot’s main challenge was trying to establish itself within a competitive marketplace as well as creating a targeted database for future marketing opportunities.
What we did
DESIGN AND SOCIAL MEDIA App
After considering their desired outcomes together with their market, we proposed a bespoke social media app. Not only would it work to increase the Waterfoot’s awareness as a wedding venue, but it would also promote their upcoming wedding fayre and created a targeted database for future marketing opportunities.
We developed a “Win Your Wedding” social competition app to reach a national audience and achieve maximum online coverage. We aligned the app with the Waterfoot Hotel’s branding and created a social competition for one lucky couple to win their wedding reception at the venue. In order to win the competition, participants had to gather support and votes by sharing their entry on their social pages and encouraging their followers to do the same, creating a viral effect. As an email address was required from the engaged couples to enter the competition, a valuable database was built for further hotel wedding promotions.
